WASHINGTON (HOL) – A business owned by three Somalis has won the New Business of the Year award in Seattle, USA.
Sea Tac Mall International won the award from the Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce 2021 business awards.
The business was founded in 2020 by Faisal Mohamed, Abdirashid Hersi and Mohamud Duale.
According to Faisal, the business started amid the COVID-19 pandemic but weathered the tide to become one of the most successful businesses in Seattle.
“Sea Tac Mall International More than a shopping mall, it is a place of gathering for community, it is a place that people can come and find things that are relevant to them,” said Faisal
